Kampong By Night Romance

So this was a fun experience. I am pretty familiar with MOST South Florida venues at this point and yet I was surprised by a new one in February when asked to do a rehearsal dinner at the Kampong Garden in Coconut Grove. For starters this place is a drop dead gorgeous Asian garden flanking the Atlantic Coast. I wish I had a few more day time pics to show how incredible the spot was. This Greek Orthodox family was wonderful to work with in producing an event that would not over shadow the wedding at Fisher Island the next day but yet be gorgeous in and of itself. The entry way was lined with lit Asian Paper laterns while fog and barely there Asian music came out of the greenery. Once inside my new fave caterer of the Japanese / Chinese persuasian Kazu invited the guests in with a specialty cocktail. We had a lit bar from Room Service Rentals and Carlos Areco had this fabulous jazzy trio on stage. The submerged orchid centerpieces were courtesy of Brucie and the pics are courtesy of Robin Buckley all the way out from LA. Very fun time, enjoy the pics.

White Party

Every year I have the pleasure of being a part of the FIDF White Party. This is a fun event and grows year by year. Maybe next year we will have a professional photographer :). We always go for a loungy, south beach look. Our locations are the fabulous Newman House on Golden Beach and Soho Studios in the Wynwood Arts Distric. The event always features some crazy entertainment, amazing drinks by Potions in Motion, clever finger foods and of course TONS of white. This year we had the pleasure of adding an Art Gallery with some top Miami artists including Britto. Enjoy my amateur pics.

Spanish Monastery Fave

While recently reviewing my blog I realized I had not posted from one of my most favorite brides and weddings ever. Lupita is an amazing women (go check out her store in Coral Gables called Acqua if you get a chance -- great clothes and accessories!). The Spanish monastery is an unusal space but Lupita really made the most of it. Using kings tables to span the long cloisters and using her favorite color of burnt orange this wedding really popped. I have to say one of the highlights of this wedding was most definitely the amazing cake!

Wedding for 2?

This was a bit unusual -- a wedding for only 2. The bride and groom. However, our bride and groom wanted all the traditional elements of a wedding for 100. Coming from Portugual meant having all the bells and whistles of a traditional wedding to include a catered meal, ceremony with officiant, guitarist, dancing, and wow factor. The wedding took place at the Four Seasons, Brickell. The Four Season has an amazing 8th floor spot to host weddings. Father Ricky graciously officiated the ceremony in both Spanish and English. The couple enjoyed their night only for themeslves immensely

Diana's Christening

Just a few shots of Diana's Christening party for her good friend Michelle. This took place in the gorgeous towers next to the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne. Beautiful weather. The food was by Chef Adam, the cake was a replica of the Christening gown done by Edda's and the photos by Alfredo Guigo.

Lauren & Kris Platinum Wedding Aired!

Much to my surprise Lauren and Kris's Platinum wedding aired one week earlier than expected. I was thrilled to see the turnout of the film. The wedding looked fabulous and Lauren was absolutely stunning! If you have Comcast you can watch the show on demand and if you don't make sure to watch out for the repeats. Hope everyone was able to catch it!
