A Miami Platinum Wedding!

For starters, WOW!!! Kris and Lauren WE LOVE YOU!! Picture this: competely over the top good time. And then multiply by about a gagillion.
This is the Platinum Wedding that I know so many of you were waiting for pics of. There were so many awesome, amazing things, I am not sure where to start. The pictures here were taken by an amazing team of photographers Chris+Lynn and Timco. I think you will all agree how fun some of these shots are.
Okay, future brides want ideas...here they are. We started the day with hair and makeup and occassionally Lauren getting a little misty eyed. Kris spent the morning golfing (he is the real -- a Golf Pro). Meanwhile, Ron Book, Lauren's incredibly sweet but also very detail oriented father, was watching over the procession of the day.
We were expecting about 550 guests to the event. And they all showed. Plus some. Early in the day it was absolutely beautiful. However, about half an hour prior the the ceremony it started coming down -- good 'ol South Florida Wedding for you! We were prepared with a clear tent over the courtyard of the Aventura Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort -- who by the way had the most fantastic staff ever!
Because we wanted to "surround" the new couple with love we placed their Chupah in the center of the courtyard with chairs at 360 degrees. The Chupah was a mass of the brides colors of orchids, hydrangea and roses at every angle. Dalsimer Florist made this espeically beautiful. This was a dual religion ceremony, Jewish and Protestant and both religions came together with two officiants that worked quite harmoniously. They also sang us a very special song after the party!
Then to cocktail hour. Hmmm...where to start. Complete draping floor to ceiling, ice bars, plasma TVs with the couples engagement shots, lounge furniture, specialty cocktails, fabulous food!
After the cocktails we moved inside to the ballroom with everything from payette linens, a specialty Hora band (Schlomo you are awesome!), a Cirque style show with 3 acts, a 6' tall wedding cake atop an ice sculpture. And this doesn't even begin to cover it!
Enjoy the photos. We are expecting Platinum Weddings to air in late November, early December -- We will keep you all updated!

Davie Ranch Extravaganza

For starters, Michelle is quite possibly my favorite bride ever. This is not to take away from all my other beloved brides, but she was just so incredibly awesome to work with!!
A lot of my brides ask, "Am I a bridezilla?". The answer (ALMOST 100% of the time) is NO. This is the most special celebration day of your lives and you are allowed to be particular and choosy. I want to help you all find all the special details you ahve been looking for and sometimes it's harder than others. I am finding more and more that the brides I work with want their days to be unique. This could be in decor, entertainment, venue, dresses or a multitude of other things. I am going to make it a point from this moment forward to try to publish as many unique things on this blog as possible to give you all ideas and inspiration.
As far as Michelle's wedding went it was fantastic and worthy of a TV show. For starters, her families Davie, Fl horse ranch was converted into one enourmous tented ballroom and one clear tented ceremony area. Some of her highlights included a mariachi band, a show from the families horses, a fabulous after party, personalized splits of wine with their engagement photos, a photo booth, and the most awesome sunset wedding ever. Enjoy....I still am and congrats Michelle and Emil (who is also a very cool cat!)

New York Destination to Naples FL!

While Kami and Paul were looking forward to the sunny South Florida skies at the Ritz Carlton Naples Beach Resort, I was dreading the large dark clouds gathering ot the north. Many of my bride's ask, "What happens if it rains?" Well, for starters we ALWAYS make a plan B. I know as a planner Plan B is not the original plan, but going along with Kami and Paul's easy going philosphy we made it work -- and they ended up having a fabulous ceremony anyway! Every aspect of Kami and Paul's destiniation wedding was filled with beach bliss. While it poured during their "inital" ceremony time, we were able to go out after and take pictures with the Chupah. Dalsimer Florists was fantastic in putting this all together. While the flips that were originaly intended for beach use were put to even better use on the girls with sore feet from dancing like crazy in high heels. Cappy Hotchkiss, a fabulous photographer from New York took some amazing pictures and she has promised more soon!
